    Annoyingly, neither - just experimentation. "What happens if I fold this up like this?".

    Ah well, that's different then. Experimentation is cool. This is probably why jigsaws are now of no interest. Experimentation is the New Thing.

    andy used to do the "how far can you throw them when no one looking" routine...esp when we were out! Had to retrace steps around a zoo once to find them!

    Experimentation has been the New Thing for too long! What happens if I twist this? It breaks, and Mummy gets cross. What happens if I pour this/open this/shake this/empty this/smash this? It makes a mess/breaks/gets everywhere/suddenly becomes bedtime even though it's still daylight outside.

    Retracing steps around a zoo is definitely above and beyond the call of duty though! For future reference "Sorry, we lost them" will get you a replacement pair (eventually..).
