A spot quiz for you.
These are oxygen cylinders. This is a box full of sterile medical supplies.
This is the basin in our bathroom.
And this is the nappy bin.
Where do you think soiled incontinence pads should be placed?
Hint - only one of these answers is correct. Additional incorrect answers would include on top of the nebulizer, on the floor, tucked down the side of the bed, on top of the SATs monitor or CPAP, behind the bedroom door, or on the kitchen work surface next to the feed pump charger.
It's rather obvious, isn't it? Honestly!
Yuck! I would be tempted to suggest they might belong inside carer's lunchbox or on top of carer's clothes but that would be very mean.
If I didn't know any better, I'd think you had been following my hubby around my house!!!
I find diapers in all sorts of odd places, too.
BUT the very fact that I can say that my hubby puts diapers in odd places means that I have a hubby that changes diapers!
THEREFORE I am not allowed to criticize his placement of them around the house. They eventually get to the garbage bin where they belong.
(some days, I really want to criticize, though!!! i am only human, after all!)
IF I had your carer, though, I think I would have already pitched such a hissy fit about it that they would not dare to put them in any of those other places ever again!
Oh god, how disgusting.
Doubly disgusting actually - both on the literal level of having excrement left around the house for you to find, and for the utter disregard for the wellbeing of you and the girls and your right to basic respect for your home and dignity.
Once is a mistake. Twice is careless and a formal verbal warning. Third time written warning. Fourth, byebye. Truncated if response to warning is anything other than deeply ashamed and apologetic.
If it's anywhere near clearly labelled sterile stuff then I think that constitutes reckless endangerment, which is to say gross misconduct and summary dismissal.
There are a lot of things we put up with when we have "care" professionals into our homes. But this? This is entirely beyond the pale.
Ugh. Hope you're all okay.
Wow! I think my guide/service dog could even figure that one out...
It makes you wonder sometimes if "common sense" is so common. Is it that people are just too lazy to put in the tiny bit of extra effort?
Maybe you need to "remind" them with a sign saying "Put Soiled Pads HERE!"
